WHO WE ARE?

Gita Research Foundation

Gita Research Foundation (GRF) is a non-profit organization working for the well-being, education, environment and women’s empowerment of underprivileged communities. Knowledge is known to lead to awareness – further leading to self-development, empowerment and action. With this in mind, GRF imparts valuable information on environment, natural health, natural farming, and learning opportunities among the less privileged section of the society as well as disseminates relevant material to the people suffering from diseases caused by stress and depression. The aim of GRF is to help the masses through natural ways of healing like yoga, natural farming and living. Functioning as a team of highly skilled dedicated and committed people and in close association with the government, non-government and corporate organizations including the local groups and community of working areas, GRF is working in the direction of sustainable development through community participation. The key areas of involvement are natural health, overall human well-being, natural farming, environment, education, sustainable livelihood, yoga and Ayurveda. GRF team comprises well-informed professionals in the fields of natural health including yoga, Natural farming, naturopathy, Ayurveda and environment and social work. 

GRF organises field camps on mental and physical health, yoga, women’s health, children’s mental health, education, and awareness of environmental pollution and nature. It also conducts online and offline workshops on mental and physical healthcare through practising yoga, pranayama and meditation. On select days GRF also organises activities for slum children and women regarding their health and hygiene in smaller groups of interested participants as well as health awareness camps in rural areas under the guidance of specialist Ayurveda and naturopath doctors.

Gita Research Foundation is Registered with the Sub-Registrar and the type of NGO is Trust (Non-Government) bearing the Indian Trust Act, 1882 and the Registration Number is 6369.
